Meet Dr. Marcia Ormsby - Annapolis, Maryland Plastic Surgeon

Based in Annapolis, Maryland, premier plastic surgeon Dr. Marcia Ormsby is one of just a few women who have completed full plastic and reconstructive surgery training and now specializes in cosmetic surgery. Her dedication to pursue this profession arose from her natural love of healing and her artistic abilities. Dr. Ormsby has combined these talents to create Annapolis Aesthetic Surgery, Inc., a practice that addresses her patients' comprehensive well being.

Dr. Marcia Ormsby studied pre-medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, medicine at the University of Massachusetts, general surgery at the State University of New York, and completed her specialty training at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center in New York City. During this time, Dr. Ormsby raised a son who graduated from Haverford College in Philadelphia.

Dr. Marcia Ormsby is a national speaker, published writer, and an active lobbyist for issues affecting women's health. She received national recognition for her original research in wound healing, which was published in the Annals of Surgery, and wrote the chapter on plastic surgery in the groundbreaking Textbook of Women's Health. Dr. Ormsby is an active member of the American Medical Women's Association and the Association of Women Surgeons. Dr. Ormsby also serves in the administration of her local hospital, Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland. As a plastic surgeon at Annapolis Aesthetic Surgery, Inc., Dr. Ormsby approaches all of her work with an artist's eye and a woman's touch.
